We are pleased to announce that BCB has partnered with Blue Sombrero to process all registrations online for baseball and softball.

If your child played at BCB last summer, all you need to do for the 2017 registration is to log into your Blue Sombrero account and select your division of play.

Your registration and player info is stored from last year.

If you forgot your user name or password, it can be resent to you when you go to login.


 

 

As we look forward with great anticipation to opening day 2017 at the Fields of Dreams, we continue our goal of providing the youth of Boardman with the best possible baseball or softball experience.

To participate your child must be 4 years old by:
• DECEMBER 31, 2016 FOR GIRLS DIVISIONS

• AUGUST 31, 2016 FOR BOYS DIVISIONS

The division your child will play in is determined by
their baseball age. See the chart below to determine
their baseball age. When you register, you will only
see the divisions available to you based on gender
and age.

• All players must attend a school in the Boardman Local School District which includes St Charles.

Notice:
BCB partnered with a new registration company for the 2016 season, if you played last year, you only need to log back into your account and signup for the 2017 season.
If this is your first year playing at BCB, you will need to login and create an account on our new site.
Accounts are free and the information collected will allow BCB to keep you informed throughout the season. Some of the features of the new system will allow BCB to text and email important information directly to specific teams or divisions. We also will be able to alert the entire league when there is severe weather coming and all games are canceled.

Your first step to register in the Blue Sombrero system will be to select one of the green Register Now buttons on this page.

You will be taken to a list of available divisions. You can select one or just go to the top right of the page and select register. •click on example to right ---------->

Once you have setup your account you can begin your childs registration. REMEMBER - as the parent or guardian, you are the primary account holder and your child is the participant.

 

If you would like to submit an application to be a Manager or Coach this can be completed when you register your child.

- OR -

You can create an account and submit a volunteer application without registration. Please only volunteer for one age division even though you want to be considered for more than one. The application will ask you what league and division(s) you want to Manage/Coach.


Boardman Communiuty Baseball is a Little League chartered organization and is obligated to implement regulations adopted by Little League International. For 2017 we will be using the new Little League Baseball age determination dates, see the charts and links below for more information.
Due to this age change the BCB Board of Directors has approved the following baseball age divisions for the 2017 season. These changes will allow players who are affected by the new Little League regulation to play at a level that matches their skill. 2017 BASEBALL DIVISIONS

MUSHBALL - 4 and 5-Year-olds (COED)
Basic skills taught, coach pitch, batting tee used if needed. Emphasis on learning and having fun.


ROOKIE LEAGUE - 6 and 7-Year-olds
Basic skills taught, coach pitch, emphasis on learning and teamwork. Reduced Injury Factor (RFI) ball used.


MINOR A - 7, 8, and 9-Year-olds
Basic skills taught, coach/kid pitch emphasis on learning and teamwork. Little League Hardball used.


MINOR AA - 8, 9, 10 and 11-Year-olds
Players pitch and assigned according to draft and skill level.


MAJOR - SOME 10, 11 and 12-Year-olds
Players are assigned according to draft and skill level.


Intermediate 50/70 ONLY - 11-13-year-olds
Players are assigned according to draft and skill level.


Jr. League Little League - 13-14-year-olds
Players are assigned according to draft and skill level.


COLT - 15-18-year-olds
Players are assigned according to draft and skill level.
